The story of Prince Siddhartha ဘုရားေလာင္းသိဒၶတၳမင္းသား

Buddha was born 2,500 years ago in a small kingdom in ancient Nepal.

လြန္ခဲ႔တဲ႔ႏွစ္ေပါင္း ၂၅၀၀ ေက်ာ္ကနီေပါႏုိင္ငံရဲ႕ႏုိင္ငံငယ္ဟစ္ခုမွာဗုဒၶကိုေမြးဖြားခဲ႔တယ္။

As was the custom in those days, his mother, Queen Maya, was returning to her parent’s home for the birth of her child.

ထုိေခတ္ကထုံစံအတုိင္း မယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာကေလးေမြးဖုိ႔ သူ႔မိဘအိမ္ကိုျပန္လာခဲ႔ပါတယ္။                    ( ေနာက္လိုက္ေနာက္ပါအေျခြအရံ႔၊ ဆင္းတပ္၊ျမင္းတပ္မ်ား၀န္းရံ႕လွ်က္ေပါ႔ )

It was a long journey for the Queen to make, so, on the way, the royal caravan stopped for a rest by the edge of great forest.

ေ၀းကြာတဲ့ခရီးျဖစ္လို႔ ေတာအုပ္တခုအစပ္မွာေတာ္၀င္ယာဥ္တန္းဟာ ခဏရပ္နားခဲ့ပါတယ္။

Queen Maya was deep inside the wood when suddenly her birth pains began. And then it is said, a tree, understanding this great moment, bent slowly down to protect her, offering it branches for her support.

ေတာနက္ထဲကို မယ္ေတာ္မာယာေရာက္သြားတဲ႕အခါရုတ္တရက္ခ်က္ျခင္းပဲ မယ္ေတာ္မာယာရဲ့ ၀မ္းဗိုက္ ဟာ မီးဖြားဖို႔နာလာခဲ့ပါတယ္၊ အဲဒီ့အခ်ိန္ခါသမယကိုနားလည္ေနျပီး သကဲ့သို႔သစ္ပင္မ်ားရဲ့ သစ္ကိုင္းမ်ား သည္ ျဖည္းညင္းစြာပင္နိမ့္က် လာၿပီးမီးဖြားရန္မယ္ေတာ္မာယာကိုအေထာက္အကူေပးခဲ့တယ္။

နီေပါႏိုင္ငံလုမၺနီအင္ၾကင္းေတာတြင္ဘုရားေလာင္းဖြားျမင္ျခင္း

The child was born with almost no pain, with shining, golden skin.

He was fully conscious, his eyes wide open. And he was strong enough to stand on his own legs.

မယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာနာက်င္ျခင္းကင္းမဲ့ျပီး ေတာက္ပေသာေရႊေရာင္အသားေရရွိတဲ့ သားေတာ္ေလး တစ္ ပါး ဖြားျမင္ခဲ့ တယ္။ သားေတာ္ေလးဟာ ပညာဥာဏ္ၾကီးမားမဲ့က်ယ္၀န္းေသာ မ်က္လံုးေတာ္ႏွင့္ အသိစိတ္ အျပည့္ႏွင့္ ေမြးဖြားလာခဲ့ျခင္း ျဖစ္တယ္။ သူဟာသူ၏ေျခေထာက္တစ္စံုေပၚတြင္ ရပ္ႏို္င္ေလာက္ေအာင္ ပင္သန္စြမ္းလွၿပီး။အဲဒီ့အခ်ိန္မွာပင္သားေတာ္ ေလးသည္ရုတ္တရက္ပဲ

“I have been born to reach Enlightenment and free all creatures from suffering.”

အၾကြင္းမဲ့လြတ္ေျမာက္ျခင္း၊ ခ်မ္းသာျခင္းအစစ္ကိုေဖာ္ထုတ္ၿပီးသတၱဝါေတြရဲ့ ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡကိုဖယ္ရွားေပးဖို႔ ငါဟာ ေမြးဖြားလာခဲ့တယ္လို႔ ဘုရားအေလာင္းေတာ္ျဖစ္တဲ့သားေတာ္ေလးကၾကံဳးဝါးေတာ္မူတယ္။

And it is said lotus blooms grew in his footsteps.

အဲဒီလိုၾကံဳးဝါးျပီးေျခလွမ္း(၇)လွမ္းလွမ္းရာတြင္ၾကာပန္းမ်ားပြင့္လာခဲ့ၾကတယ္

King Saddhodhana , the baby’s father, named the child Siddhartha, which means ‘He who brings good.’

ဖခမည္းေတာ္ႀကီးသုေဒါၶနဘုရင္ႀကီးက သားေတာ္ေလးကိုသိဒၶတၳလို႔နာမည္ေပးခဲ့တယ္။ သိဒၶတၳဆိုသည္မွာ ေကာင္းေသာမဂၤလာမ်ားကို ယူေဆာင္လာသူဟု အဓိပၸါယ္ရပါတယ္။

And then he gave a great reception to present his son to the people.

အဲဒီေနာက္မွာသားေတာ္ေလးအတြက္နာမည္ေပးကင္မြန္းတပ္ေမြးေန႔မဂၤလာပြဲႀကီးကိုက်င္းပေပးခဲ့ပါတယ္။

Suddenly, in the midst of the ceremony, and to everyone’s surprise, an unexpected guest arrived. He was the revered hermit and astrologer Asita whom nobody had seen for years.

အခမ္းအနားပြဲေတာ္ရဲ့အလယ္ေခါင္မွာေမွ်ာ္လင့္မထားတဲ့ဧည့္သည္တစ္ေယာက္ရုတ္တရက္ေပၚလာတယ္။သူကေတာ့ေရွ႕ျဖစ္ေနာက္ျဖစ္ေဟာေျပာႏိုင္တဲ့ေလးစာၾကည္ညိဳရတဲ႔ရေသ့ၾကီးေဒဝီလာဘဲျဖစ္ပါတယ္သူူကိုလူေတြမေတြ႕ျမင္ခဲ့ရတာႏွစ္မ်ားစြာေတာင္ ၾကာခဲ့ပါျပီ။

“As Asita looked at her son, Queen Maya saw tears come to his eyes.

မယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာေထြးေပြ႔ထားတဲ့သားေတာ္ကိုေဒဝီလာရေသ့လက္ထဲသို႔ကမ္းလိုက္တဲ့အခါ………

ေဒဝီလာရေသ့ၾကီးက သားေတာ္ေလးကိုငံု႔ၾကည့္လိုက္စဥ္မွာဘဲ မယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာ ေဒဝီလာရဲ့မ်က္ဝန္းမွ မ်က္ရည္စ မ်ားစီးက်လာတာကိုေတြ႔လိုက္ရတယ္။

Do not be alarmed, O Queen. Mine are only the tears of an old man who knows that he will not live long enough to learn from the teachings of your son.

ရေသ့ႀကီးမ်က္ရည္က်လိုက္တဲ့တြက္ မယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာလန္႔သြားတဲ့အခါ ရေသ့ႀကီးက မစိုးရိမ္ပါႏွင့္ သင့္သားေတာ္ေဟာၾကားမဲ့သစၥာတရားေတြကုိ မနာၾကားရခင္ေသဆံုးရမဲ့ ငါ့အတြက္ဝမ္းနည္းျပီး မ်က္ရည္ က်မိတာပါလို႔ရေသ့ႀကီးကရွင္းျပပါတယ္။ အဲဒီ့အခ်ိန္မွာဘုရင္ႀကီးေရာက္လာျပီး

Will he be the great king?

သူေနမဝင္အင္ပါယာႀကီးကို သိမ္းပိုက္အုပ္ခ်ဳပ္ႏိုင္မဲ့ ဘုရင္းႀကီးျဖစ္မွာလားလို႔ ရေသ့ႀကီးကိုေမးလိုက္တယ္။ အဲဒီ့အခါရေသ့ႀကီးကေအးေအးေဆးေဆးနဲ႔ပဲ

He will be the master of the world. Or its redeemer.

သူဟာတေလာကလံုးရဲ့ဆရာတစ္ဆူျဖစ္လိမ့္မယ္လို႔ေျပာလိုက္ပါတယ္။

When he grows older, Siddhartha can become a teacher, like you, if he wants but first of all he must follow me and be a king.

ဘုရင္ႀကီးကသူရဲ့သားေတာ္အရြယ္ေရာက္တဲ့အခါသင္ကဲ့သို႔ဆရာတစ္ဆူျဖစ္ႏိုင္ပါတယ္ဒါေပမဲ့အစပထမမွာေတာ့ငါလိုဘုရင္တစ္ပါးျဖစ္ေစရမယ္လုိ႔ဘုရင္ႀကီးကေျပာလုိက္တယ္အခါ

ရေသ႕ႀကီးက

 It may be as you wish, but the gods often be tray the wishes of mortal men.

သင္ဆႏၵရွိသလိုျဖစ္ေကာင္းျဖစ္ႏိုင္ပါထယ္။ဒါေပမဲ့ေသမ်ိဳးျဖစ္တဲ့လူေတြရဲ့ဆႏၵကိုအသိဉာဏ္ႀကီးသူေတြကအျမဲတမ္း ေတာ့လိုက္ေလ်ာမွာမဟုတ္ဘူးလို႔ရေသ့ၾကီးကဘုရင္ႀကီးကိုသတိေပးလိုက္တယ္။

ဘုရင္ႀကီးလည္းရုတ္တရက္ပဲသားေတာ္ကိုဆြဲယူလိုက္ျပီးပရိတ္သတ္လူပံုအလယ္မွာ

He will be a king. He will be a great king. သူ႔သားဟာဘုရင္တစ္ပါးျဖစ္ရမယ္လို႔ေဒါသျဖင့္ႀကံဳးဝါးလိုက္ပါတယ္။

Queen Maya was filled with a strange foreboding, as if she knew that she too would not live to see her son’s destiny full filled.

မယ္ေတာ္မာယာကေတာ့သူသားရဲ့ရည္မွန္းခ်က္ေအာင္ျမင္တာကိုကိုယ္တိုင္မေတြ႕ျမင္ႏိုင္ေတာ့မွာကိုၾကီဳသိေနသလို စိတ္ ေလးလ်က္ရွိပါတယ္။

A week later she died of a terrible illness that no doctor could cure.

တစ္ပတ္အၾကာမွာပဲမယ္ေတာ္မာယာဟာဘယ္ဆရာဝန္မွမကုသႏိုင္တဲ့ျပင္းထန္တဲ့အဖ်ားေရာဂါနဲ႔ကံကုန္သြားခဲ့ပါ

တယ္

Buddha was not a god. He was a real person.

ဗုဒၶဟာလူသားစစ္စစ္ျဖစ္ျပီးနတ္ဘုရားမဟုတ္ခဲ့ပါ။

Siddhartha, the young Prince married the beautiful Princess Yasodhara. He became a great horse man, a great archer, and he often played with his friends the ancient game called “Kabadi”.

ငယ္ရြယ္ႏုပ်ိဳေသာသိဒၶတၳမင္းသားဟာအလြန္လွပတဲ့ယေသာ္ဓရာမင္းသမီးေလးနဲ႔လက္ဆက္ခဲ့ပါတယ္။သူဟာျမင္းစီးအတက္ပညာမွာျပိဳင္စံကင္းေအာင္ေတာ္ျပီးေလးအတတ္ပညာမွာလည္းဘယ္သူမွလိုက္မမွီေအာင္ေတာ္လြန္းလွပါ တယ္။သူအႏွစ္သက္ဆုံးကစားနည္းကေတာ႔ေရွးရုိးရာကစားနည္းျဖစ္တဲ႔တစ္ဦးနဲ႔တစ္ဦးအားစမ္းတြတ္ထုိးနည္းက္ုသူ႕ရဲ႔သူငယ္ခ်င္းမ်ားနဲ႔ကစားေလ႔ရွိပါတယ္။

The king had given Siddhartha three places.

One for winter, one for the rainy season and one for summer.

ဘုရင္ႀကီးကသိဒၶတၳမင္းသားကိုေႏြမိုးေဆာင္းသံုးရာသီအတြက္နန္းျပႆဒ္သံုးေဆာင္ႏွင့္ထားပါတယ္

In this way, he hopped to shield his son from all knowledge of pain and worry.

ဒီနည္းနဲ႔သူ႔သားေတာ္ေလးမွာစိုးရိမ္းေသာကပူပန္မူ႔ေတြမေတြ႔႔ႀကံဳရေအာင္ကာကြယ္ႏိုင္မယ္လို႔ေမွ်ာ္လင့္ထားတဲ့အ တြက္အဲဒီလိုထားျခင္းျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

But then, one day, Siddhartha heard a mysterious song of haunting beauty.

ဒါေပမဲ့တေန႔မွာမင္းသားေလးစိတ္ကိုညို႕ငင္ဖမ္းစားႏိုင္တဲ့ထူးျခားတဲ့သီခ်င္းသံကိုၾကားလိုက္ရတဲ့အခ်ိန္မွာေတာ့……..

At first, he couldn’t understand where it was coming from.

အစပထမေတာ့ဘယ္ကလာတဲ့အသံလဲဆိုတာသူမသိပါဘူး

The song was in a language he had never heard before.

သီခ်င္းသံဟာသူဘယ္တုန္းကမွမၾကားဘူးတဲ့ဘာသာစကားျဖစ္ေနတယ္

What was is saying? What did it mean? What is this song?

မင္းသားေလးဟာဘာေတြေျပာေနတာလဲဘာအဓိပၸါယ္လဲဆိုတာအရမ္းသိခ်င္လာပါတယ္။အဲဒါနဲ႔သူ႔ေနာက္ကအေျပးလိုက္လာတဲ့ယေသာ္ဓရာကိုေမးလိုက္တယ္။

It is from a faraway land, my Lord said Yasodhara.

အရွင္သခင္ဒီသီခ်င္းကအေဝးေဒသတစ္ခုကသီခ်င္းပါလို႔ယေသာ္ဓရာကေျဖလိုက္တယ္

It evokes the beauties of the country, she knew as a child, the mountains and the lakes that she can never forget.

က်မကကေလးဘဝကတည္းကဒီသီခ်င္းကိုသိခဲ့ျပီးဘယ္ေတာမွမေမ့ႏိုင္တဲ့တိုင္းျပည္တစ္ခုရဲ့ေတာင္တန္းေတြေရအိုင္ ေတြရဲ့အလွအပကိုဖြဲ႕ဆိုထားတာျဖစ္တယ္လို႔ေျပာျပလိုက္တယ္

How strange? Do such places exist, places as beautiful as there?

အံ့ၾသစရာေကာင္းလိုက္တာေနာ္။ဒီေနရာမ်ိဳးလိုလွပတဲ့တျခားေနရာမ်ိဳးေတြရွိေသးလားလို႔မင္းသားေလးကေမးလိုက္ တယ္။

I’ve heard that only suffering lies beyond these walls’.

ဒီနန္းေတာ္တံတိုင္းေတြရဲ့တဖက္မွာဆင္းရဲဒုကၡသာရွိတယ္လို႔ၾကားဖူးတာပဲလို႔ယေသာ္ဓရာကေျပာျပလိုက္တယ္

အဲဒီအခ်ိန္မွာမင္းသားေလးက

What do you mean, “Suffering”? ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡဆိုတာဘာလဲလို႔ထပ္ေမးလိုက္တယ္

Your father loves you very much. He has given us everything we could want.

သင့္အေဖကသင့္ကိုသိပ္ခ်စ္တယ္။ကၽြႏု္ပ္တို႔လိုတာေတြအားလံုးကိုလဲေပးထားတာပဲ

There is no need to go anywhere else when you’ve such beauty around you.

ဒို႔ပတ္ဝန္းက်င္မွာဒီေလာက္ျပည့္စံုေနသားနဲတျခားဘယ္မွသြားစရာမလိုဘူးလို႔ယေသာ္ဓရာကမင္းသားေလးကိုေျပာျပလိုက္တယ္။

It is true, we have everything and everything is perfect.

ဟုတ္တယ္ယေသာ္ဓရာတို႔မွာအရာရာရွိတယ္အရာရာတိုင္းဟာလဲျပည္စံုေနတယ္

So, why is the feeling I have?

ဒါေတာင္ငါဘာျဖစ္ေနတာလဲ

If the world is so beautiful, why have I never seen it?

ကမာၻႀကီးကသိပ္လွပတယ္ဆိုရင္ငါဟာဘာလိုကိုယ္တိုင္မေတြ႔ႏို္င္တာလဲ

I’ve not even seen my own city!

ငါ့ႏိုင္ငံရဲ့အလွကိုေတာင္ငါမေတြ႕ဖူးဘူး

I must see the world, Yasodhara. With my own eyes.

ကမာၻႀကီးကိုငါကိုယ္တိုင္ငါ့မ်က္စိနဲ႔တပ္အပ္ျမင္ျခင္တယ္ယေသာ္ဓရာ

ဒါေၾကာင္႔မင္းသားေလးကနန္းေတာ္ဆီသို႔အေျပးထြက္သြားၿပီးဖခမည္းေတာ္ဆီမွာၿမိဳပတြင္းသို႔သြားေရာက္ၾကည္႔ရူခ်င္ ေၾကာင္းကိုေလွ်ာက္ထားခဲ႔ပါတယ္။ဘုရင္ႀကီးလည္းျငင္းဆုိရန္မတတ္သာေတာ႔သျဖင္႔သားေတာ္ေလးေတာင္းဆုိခ်က္ကိုလိုက္ေလွ်ာခဲ႔တယ္။

“ Secretly, however, his father prepared everything in advance so that nothing Siddhartha might see in the city would upset or disturb him. Everyone should be young and healthy.”

ဖခမည္းေတာ္ႀကီးကၿမိဳ႔တြင္းမွာငယ္ရြယ္ႏုပ်ဳိ၊က်န္းမာသူေတြကိုသာရွိေနေစၿပီး၊မင္းသားေလးစိတ္မေကာင္းျဖစ္စရာမ ႀကံဳရေလေအာင္လွ်ဳိ၀ွက္စြာႀကိဳတင္စီစဥ္ထားၿပီးမင္းသားေလးေတာင္းဆုိမႈကိုခြင္႔ျပဳခဲ႔ပါတယ္။

မင္းသားေလးျမိဳ႕တြင္းလွည့္လည္ခန္း

သူအိုကိုပထမဆံုးအႀကိမ္ျမင္ဖူးျခင္း

Suddenly, however, through the crowd, the young prince saw something, he had never seen before.

မင္းသားေလးဟာျမိဳတြင္းသို႔လွည့္လည္ၾကည့္ရႈစဥ္

ရုတ္တရက္ပဲလူအုပ္ၾကားထဲမွသူတခါမွမျမင္ဖူးေသာအရာကိုမထင္မွတ္ဘဲေတြ႕လိုက္ရစဥ္တြင္

Channa ! Channa!

ဆႏၷ……….ဆႏၷ လို႔ေအာ္ေခၚလိုက္တယ္

Who are those men? Tell me who are those men?

သူတို႔ကဘယ္သူေတြလဲ၊ငါ့ကိုေျပာျပပါသူတိုကဘယ္သူေတြလဲ

They are a man like the rest of us, my Lord, who once sucked milk from their mother’s breast.

သူတို႔ဟာငါတို႔လိုဘဲမိခင္ရဲ့ႏို႔ေသာက္စို႔ခဲ့တဲ့သူေတြပါပဲလို႔ဆႏၵကေျပာျပတယ္

Why do they look like that?

ဘာျဖစ္လို႔အခုလိုပံုစံျဖစ္ေနတာလဲ

They are old, my Lord. What do you mean old?

အိုတယ္ဆိုတာဘာကိုေျပာတာလဲလို႔ထပ္ေမးျပန္ရာ

Old age destroys memory, beauty and strength.

အိုျခင္းဟာမွတ္ဥာဏ္၊ပ်ိဳျမစ္ျခင္းနဲ့ခြန္အားေတြကိုဖ်က္စီးပစ္လိုက္တယ္

In the end, it happens to us all, my Lord. To every one?

အဆံုးမွာေတာ့ကၽြႏု္ပ္တို႔အားလံုးဒၤီလိုျဖစ္ရမွာဘဲအရွင္ဟုဆႏၷကျပန္ေျဖတယ္

To every one? To you and to me?

မင္းေရာ၊ငါေရာအားလုံးဒီလိုျဖစ္ရမွာဘဲလားလို႔မင္းသားကေသခ်ာေအာင္ထပ္ေမးလိုက္ေတာ႔

It is better not to concern yourself with these things, my Lord.

အရွင္ဒါေတြနဲ႔မပတ္သက္တာေကာင္းပါတယ္အရွင္……လို႔ေျပာလိုက္စဥ္မွာပင္…

ရဲမက္ေတာ္(၂)ဦးကအေစာကမင္းသားေလးျမင္ေတြ႔ခဲ႔လိုက္တသူအုိကိုထမ္းၿပီးထြက္ေျပးသြားတာကိုမင္းသားေလးျမင္ လိုက္စဥ္…..

But what are they taking them? Channa!

သူတုိကိုဘယ္ေခၚသြားၾကတာလည္းဆႏၷ….လို႔ေျပာၿပီးမင္းသားေလးလည္းသိခ်င္ေဇာကပ္ၿပီးစီးေတာ္ဆင္ေပၚကခုန္ခ်ကာေျပးလိုက္သြားခဲ႔တယ္။

 No, my Lord, don’t go there! Please! You mustn’t!

No, my Lord! My Lord! My Lord! Siddhaetha!

မသြားပါနဲ႔အရွင္၊ ေတာင္းပန္ပါတယ္အရွင္လို႔ဆႏၵကေအာ္ဟစ္ငုိေၾကြးေတာင္းပန္ေသာ္လည္းဘဲ….

မင္းသားေလးကေရာက္ရွိသြားခဲ႔ပါၿပီ……..

သူနာကိုပထမဆံုးအႀကိမ္ျမင္ဖူးျခင္း

At that time, အဲဒီအခ်ိန္မွာ…

အမ်ဳိးသမီးတစ္ဦးနာက်င္စြာနဲ႔ၿငီးညွဳးသံကိုၾကားလိုက္စဥ္မွာေတာ႔မင္းသားေလးက…..

What is the matter with those people? Why is she crying like that? She is in pain, my Lord.

She is very sick.

ဒီလူေတြဘာျဖစ္ေနတာလဲ၊သူမကဘာျဖစ္လို႔ငုိေနတာလဲ၊လို႔ေမးလိုက္ေတာ႔

“ သူမဟာအနာႏွိပ္စက္ခံရတာထက္အရမ္းဖ်ားနာေနတယ္အရွင္လို႔ဆႏၷကျပန္ေျဖလိုက္တယ္။

Sick? What is that?

အနာႏွိပ္စက္တယ္ဆုိတာဘာလဲဟင္

No one reaches the moment of death without falling sick at least once.

ဘယ္သူမဆုိအနည္းဆုံးေတာ႔တစ္ႀကိမ္ႏွိပ္စက္တာခံရၿပီးေတာ႔မွေသၾကရတာခ်ည္းဘဲအရွင္လို႔အေျဖေပးလိုက္ေတာ႔…

Even kings? ဘုရင္ေတြေကာေသတာဘဲပါလားဟင္…

 Yes. ဆႏၷကေခါင္းကိုေျဖညင္းစြာပဲၿငိမ္႔ျပလိုက္တယ္။

And death, what moment is that? Show me death.

ေသတယ္ဆုိတာဘာလဲဟင္ငါကိုျပပါဦး…….

သူေသကိုပထမဆံုးအႀကိမ္ျမင္ဖူးျခင္း

ဒါနဲ႔ဘဲ..ဆႏၷဟာအသုဘခ်တ႔ဲဂဂၤါ႔ျမစ္ေဘးကုိမင္းသားေလးကိုေခၚသြားၿပီး

 This is death, my Lord.

ဒါဟာေသျခင္းပဲလို႔လက္ညဳိးထုိးျပလိုက္ေတာ႔

Here the ashes are given to the river, my Lord.

ဒီျပာေတြဟာေသသူရဲ႔အေလာင္းကုိမီးရူိ႔ၿပီးေတာ႔ရလာတာေတြပဲ၊ဒါေတြကိုဒီျမစ္ထဲကိုေမွ်ာလိုက္ၿပီးေတာ႔၀မ္းနည္းငုိ ေၾကြးၿပီးဆုေတာင္းေနၾကတာပါအရွင္…

Death is the moment of separation which comes to every person in the family.

ေသျခင္းဆုိတာမိသားစုတုိင္းရဲ႔မိသားစု၀င္တစ္ဦးစီမလႊဲမေသႀကဳံေတြ႔ရမဲ႔ခြဲခြာျခင္းဘဲ

When a body grows cold and stiff like wood, it has to be burned like wood.

အဲဒီလိုလည္းေျပာလိုက္ေတာ႔ မင္းသားေလးဟာ၀မ္းနည္းပက္လက္ျဖစ္ကာငုိေၾကြးေတာ႔တာပါဘဲ…

It was on this day, from this fire with these people, that Siddhartha learned about suffering and discovered compassion.

အဲဒီေနာက္မင္းသားေလးဟာအဲဒီေန႔မွာဘဲမီးသၿဂိဳလ္ျခင္းကိုၾကည္႔ၿပီးလူအမ်ားရဲ႔ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡကိုနားလည္းသြားၿပီးကိုယ္ ခ်င္စာဂရုဏာတရားျဖစ္ေပၚလာေတာ႔ပါတယ္။

They were him, and he was them.

လူသားေတြ(ျပည္သူေတြ)ရဲ႔ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡဟာသူ႔ဒုကၡျဖစ္လာၿပီး၊သူဟာလည္းအမ်ားျပည္သူေတြနဲ႔တသားတည္း ျဖစ္လာခဲ႔ပါေတာ႔တယ္။

အဲဒီလိုနဲ႔ပဲမင္းသားေလးဟာနန္းေတာ္ကိုျပန္ေရာက္တဲ႔အခ်ိန္၊ဘုရင္ႀကီးကလည္းအိုမင္းျခင္းကိုသားေတာ္ေလးမျမင္ ေအာင္ေဆးဆုိးခ်ယ္သေနတုန္း၊မင္းသားေလးနဲ႔တဲ႔တဲ႔တုိးေတာ႔တာပါဘဲ…

“ Oh, my father, why have you hidden the truth from me for so long?

အမွန္တရားကိုဘာျဖစ္လို႔ဒီေလာက္ၾကာေအာင္ဖုံးကြယ္ထားခဲ႔တာလဲ…အိုဖခမည္းေတာ္….

Why have you lied to me about the existence of suffering, sickness, poverty, old age and death?

ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡေတြ၊အနာႏွိပ္စက္မႈေတြ၊ငတ္မြတ္ေခါင္းပါးမႈေတြြ၊အုိးမင္းရင္႔ေရာ္မႈေတြ၊ေသျခင္းတရားေတြရွိေနတာကိုဘာ ေၾကာင္႔၊ဘာျဖစ္လို႔ဖုံးကြယ္ခဲ႔တာလဲဖခမည္းေတာ္……

If I have lied to you, Siddhartha, it has been because I love you.

ငါမင္းကိုခ်စ္လို႔လိမ္ညာဖုံးကြယ္မႈေတြျပဳလုပ္ခဲ႔တာပါသားေတာ္….

Your love has become a prison.

ခမည္းေတာ္ရဲ႔ခ်စ္ျခင္းဟာေထာင္နဲ႔တူေနပါတယ္ဖခမည္းေတာ္…

How can I live here as I lived before when so many are suffering outside?

You never wanted to go outside.

သင္ဘယ္တုန္းကမွနန္းေတာ္အျပင္ဘက္္ထြက္ခ်င္ခဲ႔ဘူးပါဘူးသားေတာ္…..

I must find an answer to suffering.

ဆင္းရဲဒုကၡအတြက္သားေတာ္အေျဖတစ္ခုရွာဖုိ႔သြား၇ေတာ႔မယ္။ခမည္းေတာ္….

Even if you betray me, Siddhartha, have you no pity for the wife, you leave ,and for your own son?

မင္းငါ့ကို မငဲ့ညာ ရင္ေတာင္ မွ ဇနီွးနဲ႕ မင္းရဲ႕ သားေတာ္ေလးကို သနားဖို႕ ေကာင္းပါတယ္သားေတာ.

Oh, my child is born?

ကၽြန္ုပ္ရဲ႕သားေလးေမြးျပီလား

Born is very evening. Think of them, Siddhartha .

ဒီညေနပဲ ေမြးတယ္။သူတို႕ အတြက္းစဥ္းစားပါသာေတာ္။

You too are a father,you too have a  duty.

မင္းကိုယ္တိုင္ဖ ခင္တစ္ေယာက္ျဖစ္ေနျပီ၊မင္းမွာဖခင္ရဲ႕တာ၀န္လဲပဲရွိလာျပီ။

You must not leave now.

မင္းယခုထြက္သြားလို႕မရေတာ့ဘူးသားေတာ္

Even my love for Yasodhara and my son cannot remove the pain I feel.

ယေသာ္ဓရာနဲ႕ သားေတာ္ အေပၚမွာ ထားရွိတဲ့ ခ်စ္ျခင္းေမတၱာက ေတာင္မွကၽြနု္ပ္ရဲ႕ နာၾကည္းမႈ ေ၀ဒနာကိုမဖယ္ရွားပစ္ႏိုင္ဘူး။

For I know that they too will have to suffer, grow old and die. Like you, like me, like us all.

ဘာလို႔လည္းဆုိေတာ႔ခမည္းေတာ္နဲ႔သားေတာ္အပါအပါအ၀င္ကၽြႏု္ပ္တုိ႔သက္ရွိအားလုံးလိုပဲသူတုိ႔လည္းဆင္းရဲဒုကၡေ၀ဒနာေတြခံစားေနရမယ္၊အိုမင္းရင္႔ေရာ္ၾကမယ္၊ေနာက္ဆံုးေသဆုံးရဦးမယ္ဆုိတာသိေနလိုပါဘဲလိုဆုိၿပီးဖခမည္းေတာ္ကိုမီးသၿဂိုလ္ရာကယူလာတဲ႔ျပာကုိဖခင္ရဲ႔လက္၀ါးထဲသို႔ထည္႔ေပးလိုက္တယ္။

Yes. We must all die and reborn and die again, and be reborn and die, and be reborn and die again. No man can ever escape that curse.

As soon as he left his father, Siddhaetha went to see his wife and his newborn son.

သစၥာရွာဖုိ႔ျမင္းစီးခဲ႔သူ

A magic mist had descended over everything.

The whole court had fallen into a deep sleep.

နန္းေတာ္ျပင္တစ္ခုလုံးႏွစ္ႏွစ္ၿခိဳက္ၿခိဳက္အိမ္ေမာက်ေနပါတယ္။

Channa! Wake up. Get Kantaka. What?

ထ ဆႏၷ…က႑ကျမင္းေတာ္ကိုသြားယူခဲ႔….ဘာ..ဘာလဲအရွင္

Get Kantaka. Mind no one sees you and meet me at the old gate. Go now. Yes, my Lord.

ေၾသာ္..က႑ကကိုယူၿပီး၊ငါကိုဂိတ္ေဟာင္းမွာသြားေစာင္႔ေန၊ဘယ္သူမွမေတြ႕ေစနဲ႔၊႕ဲသြားေတာ႔…

ဟုတ္ကဲ႔အရွင္…

Only the great elephants are awake, my Lord.

အရွင္ဆင္ေတာ္ႀကီးေတြပဲႏုိးလွ်က္ရွိေနပါတယ္..အရွင္…

The whole world is dreaming.

တစ္ေလာကလုံးကေတာ႔ေလာဘ၊ေဒါသ၊ေမာဟ၊ေတြနဲ႔အိမ္မက္မက္ေနတုန္းေလ….

But for the Siddhartha, the dream was ending.

ဒါေပမဲ႔သိဒၶတၳမင္းသားေလးကေတာ႔ေလာဘ၊ေဒါသ၊ေမာဟအိမ္မက္ေတြကႏုိးထလာခဲ႔ပါၿပီ….

His long journey of awakening had begun.

သူ႔ရဲ႔အို၊နာ၊ေသ၊ေဘးတုိ႔မွလြတ္ေျမာက္ေရးခရီးရွည္တုိက္ပြဲစတင္ခဲ႔ပါၿပီ…….

( Kantaka Whinnying) Passing the forest, riding Kantaka with Channa….

က႑ကျမင္းကိုအေျပးေလးႏွင္းၿပီးေတာ႕ေတာအုပ္တစ္ခုကိုျဖတ္စဥ္မွာ…..

Who are they, Channa? Are they robbers?

ဆႏၷေရ…ဟိုေတာအုပ္ထဲကလူေတြကကဘယ္သူေတြလဲ၊ဓါးျပေတြလား၊

No, my Lord. They are ascetics.

မဟုတ္ဘူးအရွင္….သူတုိဟာၿခိဳးၿခံစြာက်င္ႀကံၿပီး၊ကိေလသာသတ္ေနတဲံသူေတြပါအရွင္၊

Ascetics? Why are they so thin and naked?

သူတုိဟာ၊ဘာလိုဒီေလာက္ပိန္လွီၿပီးအ၀တ္ဗလာျဖစ္ေနတာလဲ။

They have given up all the comforts of life, my lord.

သူတုိ႔ဟာဘ၀ရဲ႔သက္ေတာင္႔သက္သာရွိမႈ၊စည္းစိမ္ေတြအားလုံးကိုစြန္႔လႊတ္ထားလို႔ပါအရွင္…..

They have sworn never to leave the forest until they have reached Enlightenment.

သူတုိ႔ဟာအမွန္တရားကိုသိတဲ႔ဉာဏ္၊အလင္းမရမျခင္း၊ဒီေတာထဲကမထြက္ဖုိ႔က်ိန္ဆုိထားၾကတယ္အရွင္…..

ဘာ….. Enlightenment? သစၥာသိတဲ႔ဉာဏ္တဲ႔လား….

အဲဒီေနာက္မင္းသားဟာသူရဲ႔ဆံပင္ကိုပါလာတဲ႔သံလွ်က္နဲ႔ဆြဲျဖတ္လိုက္ၿပီး၊ရတနာလည္ဆြဲကိုျဖဳတ္လိုက္ၿပီး…..

ဆင္းရဲျခင္းလြတ္ေျမာက္ရာကိုငါရွာေဖြမယ္။

( လို႕ျမင္းကိုပြတ္ၿပီးေျပာလိုက္ေတာ႔အဲဒီအခ်ိန္မွာဆႏၷလည္းစိတ္မထိန္းႏုိင္ဘဲသည္းထန္စြာငုိေၾကြးခ်လိုက္ပါ ေတာ႔တယ္။)အဲဒီေနာက္မွာေတာ႕မင္းသားဟာေတာအုပ္ထဲ၀င္ေရာက္ေပ်ာက္ကြယ္သြားပါေတာ႔တယ္။မင္းသားေလးဟာတရားထုိင္လိုက္တာနဲ႔တၿပိဳင္နက္တည္းဘ၀အဆက္ဆက္ကျဖည္႔ဆည္းခဲ႔ေသာပါရမီတုိ႔ေၾကာင္႔ခ်က္ခ်င္းဆုိသလိုပဲသမထအဆင္႔ရဲ႕အျမင္႔ဆုံးအဆင႔္ျဖစ္တဲ႔စ်ာန္ေလးဆင္႔ကိုရရွိသြားခဲ႔ပါတယ္။အဲဒီအခ်ိန္မွာရုတ္တရက္ခ်က္ ခ်င္းပဲေၾကာက္မက္ဖြယ္မိုးခ်ိန္းသံနဲ႔အတူမုိးျပင္းထန္စြာရြာသြန္းပါေတာ႔တယ္။အဲဒီအခိုက္အင္မတန္ႀကီးမားေသာေျမြန ဂါးႀကီးတစ္ေကာင္ကမင္းသားေလးတရားထုိင္မပ်က္ေစရန္အတြက္မင္းသားေလးကိုအုပ္မုိးေပးတာကိုAsceticsငါးဦးကျမင္ေတြ႔လိုက္တာနဲ႔တၿပိဳင္နက္ဘုရားျဖစ္မဲ႔ပုဂၢဳိလ္ေတာ႔တုိ႔႔ေတြၿပီ၊ငါတု႔ိဆရာေတြၿပီဆုိၿပီးမင္းသားေလးတရားထုိင္ေန တာကိုထုိင္ေစာင္႔ေန ၾကသတဲ႔၊

The five ascetics witnessed these miracles and were filled with wonder.

For six years, Siddhartha and his followers lived in silence and never left the forest.

မင္းသားေလးနဲ႔သူရဲ႔ေနာက္လိုက္ငါးဦးဟာဒီေတာထဲကမခြာဘဲဆိတ္ၿငိမ္စြာနဲ႔အမွန္တရားရွာေဖြခဲ႔တာေျခာက္ႏွစ္

ၾကာခဲ႔ပါတယ္။

(သူတုိ႔ဟာမိုးေရကိုေသာက္ၾကတယ္၊စပါးေစ႔(သို႕)ငွက္ေတြပ်ံသန္းရင္းနဲ႔က်က်န္ခဲ႔တဲ႔အစာေတြကိုစားေသာက္ ၾကတယ္။စိတ္ကိုအရမ္းထိန္ခ်ဳပ္ရင္း၊ခႏၶာကိုယ္ကိုလ်စ္လ်ဴရူထားခဲ႔ၾကၿပီးဆင္းရဲဒုကၡေတြကိုအႏုိင္ယူဖုိ႔ႀကိဳးစား ရင္းနဲ႔ေျခာက္ႏွစ္တာၾကာသြားခဲ႔ၾကေပမဲ႔သစၥာတရားကိုမရရွိခဲ႔ၾကပါဘူး………..)

Then, one day, Siddhartha heard an old musician from a passing boat speaking to his pupil.

“ If you tighten the string too much, it will snap. And if you leave it too slack, it won’t play.”

အဲဒီလိုနဲ႔

တစ္ေန႔မွာျဖတ္သြားတဲ႔ေလွတစ္စီးေပၚမွာ 

“ႀကိဳးတင္းလြန္းရင္ျပတ္တတ္ၿပီး၊ႀကိဳးေလွ်ာ႔လြန္းရင္လည္းအသံမထြက္ဘူးဆုိတဲ႔ဂီတပညာရွင္ကသူတပည္႔ကိုဆုံးမတဲ႔အသံကိုၾကားလိုက္ရတယ္ “

Suddenly, Siddhartha realized that these simple words held a great truth and that in all these years he had been following the wrong path.

ဒီရုိးရွင္းတဲ႔စကားေတြဟာႀကီးျမတ္တဲ႔အမွန္တတရားေတြကိုကိုယ္စားျပဳေနတယ္ဆုိတာရယ္၆ႏွစ္လုံးလုံးလမ္းမွားခဲ႔တယ္ဆုိတာကိုမင္းသားေလးကိုခ်က္ခ်င္းသေဘာေပါက္သြားေစခဲ႔တယ္။

ခ်က္ခ်င္းပဲမင္းသားေလးကတရားခ်က္ခ်င္းျဖဴတ္ၿပီးအေနာ္မာျမစ္ဆိပ္ကိုဆင္း၊ေရေသာက္၊မ်က္ႏွာသစ္ေရခ်ဳိးလိုက္ တယ္၊ၿပီးကုန္းေပၚတက္ၿပီးေရအေျခာက္ခံၿပီးသူၾကားခဲ႔တဲ႔စကားကိုျပန္လည္စဥ္းစားေနခိုက္၊

And then he takes consideration that….

“If you tighten the string too much, it will snap. And if you leave it too slack, it won’t play.”

“ႀကိဳးတင္းလြန္းရင္ျပတ္တတ္ၿပီး၊ႀကိဳးေလွ်ာ႔လြန္းရင္လည္းအသံမထြက္ဘူး”

The village girl offered Siddhartha her bowl of rice.

သူဇာတာသူေဌးသမီးကဃနာႏုိ႔ဆြမ္းလာေရာက္လွဴဒါန္းပါတယ္

And people for the first time, in years, he tasted proper food.

ေျခာက္ႏွစ္တာအစာၿခိဳးၿခံရာကပထမဆုံးအႀကိမ္အျဖစ္ႏုိ႔ဆြမ္းကိုျပန္လည္သုံးေဆာင္ခဲ႔ပါတယ္။

But when the ascetics saw their master bathing and eating like an ordinary person, they left betrayed, as if Siddhartha had given up the great search for Enlightenment. We can no longer follow you. We can no longer learn from you. And said they left.

အဲဒီအခိုက္..Asceticsငါးဦးကေရာက္လာၿပီးသိဒၶတၳဟာသာမန္လူေတြလိုေရခ်ဳိးတာ၊စားတာေသာက္တာေတြကိုေတြ႔ ျမင္တဲ႔အခါသိဒၶတၳဘုရားမျဖစ္ႏုိင္ေတာ႔ဘူး၊အမွန္တရးရွာေဖြတဲ႔လမ္းေၾကာင္းေပၚကလြဲေခ်ာ္သြားၿပီဆုိၿပီးစိတ္ပ်က္သြား ၾကပါတယ္။ငါတုိ႔မင္းေနာက္ကမလိုက္ႏုိင္ေတာ႔ဘူး၊မင္းဆီကလည္းေနာက္ထပ္ၿပီေတာ႔မသင္ႏုိင္ ေတာ႔ဘူးဆုိၾကတယ္

To learn is to change.

အမွန္တရားေတြ႔ေအာင္ရွာဖုိ႔ေျပာင္းလဲတာပါ……

The path to the Enlightenment is in the middle way.

အမွန္တရားရွာေတြ႔ဖုိ႔လမ္းကအစြန္းတရားေတြလြတ္တဲ႔အလယ္လမ္းျဖစ္တယ္ဆုိတာကိုို႔သိဒၶတၳကရွင္းျပရန္ႀကိဳးစားခဲ႔ ေပမဲ႔……..သူတုိ႔မင္းသားေလးကိုထားခဲ႔ၾကၿပီးေတာထဲကို၀င္ေရာက္ေပ်ာက္ကြယ္သြား ၾကေလၿပီ…..

အဲဒီေနာက္….မင္းသားေလးဟာစိတ္ထဲကေနတုိးတုိးေလးရြတ္ဓိဌာန္လိုက္တယ္

If I can reach the Enlightenment today, may this bowl float upstream?

ငါသည္ယေန႔ဘုရားအျဖစ္နဲ႔အမွန္တရားကိုသိနဳိင္မည္ဆုိရင္ဒီခြက္ဟာေရညာက္ုဆန္တက္ပါေစသားလို႔အဓိဌာန္ၿပီး ေရထဲေမွ်ာလိုက္ေတာ႔ခြက္ဟာေရညာကိုဆန္တက္သြားခဲ႔ပါတယ္။

မင္းသားေလးဟာယုံၾကည္ခ်က္ေတြျပည္႔၀လာၿပီး…ငါသည္ဘုရားမျဖစ္မခ်င္းဒီေနရာမွမထေတာ႔ဆုိၿပီးတရားကိုျပန္ လည္အားထုတ္လိုက္ရာ….

Mara had tried to tempt Siddhartha in the cleverest of ways: by disguising the temptations of life in the simplest forms.

(သဘာ၀တရားသည္အမွန္တရားကိုသိ၏ဒီေနရာမွာဘုရားအေလာင္းေတာ္ေျပာတဲ႔စကားကိုသဘာ၀ကနားလည္တယ္သဘာ၀ကမိမိကိုနားလည္ဖိ႔ုကလည္းမိမိဘက္ကလည္းရုိးသားဖုိပေတာ႔လို၏၊ၿငိမ္သက္ေသာသႏၱစိတ္၊စင္ၾကယ္ေသာ၀ိသုဒၶစိတ္ရွိဖုိံေတာ႔လိုအပ္ပါ၏)

မာရ္နတ္ဟာပုံသ႑န္အမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိး၊နည္းအမ်ဳိးမ်ဳိးနဲ႔အစြမ္းကုန္ႀကိဳးစားၿပီးမင္းသားကိုဘုရားအျဖစ္မေရာက္ရွိေအာင္တား ဆီးခဲ႔ပါတယ္။

But Siddhartha was looking beyond form, beyond the present. And now Mara was enraged.

ဒါေပမဲ႔မင္းသားဟာမ်က္ျမင္ပုံသ႑န္နဲ႔လွည္႔စားမႈေတြကိုမတုန္မလွုပ္တဲ႔အတြက္မာရ္နတ္ကစိတ္ဆုိးလာပါေတာ႔တယ္။

It seemed as if Mara had been defeated, but in fact he had not yet given up the battle. Now he attacked again. မာရ္နတ္ဟာဘုရားေလာင္းကိုဘယ္လိုမွအႏုိင္မယူႏုိင္ေပမဲ႔အေလွ်ာ႔မေပးဘဲဆက္လက္တုိက္ခုိက္ျပန္တယ္

You who go where no one else will dare, will you be my god?

သိဒၶတၳဟာသူရဲ့ေမတၱာတရားသက္သက္နဲ႔အေႏွာက္အယွက္ေတြအားလံုးကိုအႏိုင္ရသြားၿပီးေနာက္ေမတၱာဂရုဏာအားလည္းအင္မတန္ႀကီးလာပါတယ္။ထိုေနာက္ငါ၊ငါ့ဥစၥာဆိုတဲ့အထင္မ်ားတပ္မက္မႈေတြကလြတ္ေျမာက္သြားျခင္းေၾကာင့္ရရွိတဲ့အႀကီးအျမတ္ဆံုးေအးခ်မ္းမူ႔(နိဗၺာန္ခ်မ္းသာ)ကိုေတြ႔ရွိသြားပါေတာ့တယ္။သူဟာသူ႔ရဲ့တဏွွွွွာလက္သမားဖန္ဆင္းထားတဲ့(၃၁)ဘံုအတၱနယ္ထဲကလြန္ေျမွာက္သြားပါၿပီ။ငါဆိုတဲ့အထင္မွားနဲ႔ျပဳလုပ္ခဲ့တဲ့ကုသိုလ္၊အကုသိုလ္ကံေတြရဲ့မ ျပတ္အက်ိဳးေပးခံေနရတဲ့သခၤါရေလာကနယ္ထဲကလံုးဝလြတ္ေျမာက္သြားပါၿပီ။သူ႔ရဲ့မေရမတြက္ႏို္င္တဲ့ဘဝသံသရာနဲ႔ စၾကာဝဠာအနႏၱကိုလည္းသိျမင္လာပါတယ္။သတၱဝါအနႏၱေတြဟာငါဆိုတဲ့အထင္မွားအေၾကာင္းသမုဒယေတြသာလုပ္ေနတဲ့အတြက္ေၾကာင့္အက်ိဳးဒုကၡေတြခ်ည္းျဖစ္ေနရတယ္ဆိုတာရယ္၊အေၾကာင္းမဂၢလုပ္မွအက်ိဳးတရားဒုကၡေတြ၊ နိေျဒာဓဆိုက္ခ်ဳပ္ေပ်ာက္ၿပီးဘယ္ေတာ့မွမေျပာင္းလဲတဲ့သစၥာေလးပါးအမွန္တရားကိုလည္းထိုးထြင္းသိျမင္ သြားပါတယ္။ထိုသို႔သစၥာသိတဲ့အခ်ိန္ကစၿပီးသိဒၶတၳဟာသဗၺညုတ(အလုံးစုံသိေသာဉာဏ္)ရရွိကာဘုရားျဖစ္ေတာ္မႈ ခဲ့ပါတယ္။
